love and hearts and tears and smiles (all welcome)

It's been a while, but I think everybody could use a little love and a little encouragement right now. So comment away -- anonymously or with your username -- and make your friends' days a bit brighter. Feel free to also share any prayer requests or confessions you might need to get out there. Let's keep it real, but let's also make sure it's cruelty-free. This is decidedly a Warm Fuzzy or Genuine Sharing zone. Got it? And please feel free to tell your friends. x

PS. For ease of reading, start a comment thread with the username of the person you want to praise up; then future commenters can add their love to the thread.

As the others have said, a lot about this depends upon whether the ones who do know and appreciate you happening to be participating on this particular venue.

The other thing I've learned it that I need to watch that I am not too dependent upon what William Wilberforce called "the applause of the world." If I start feeling the pricking on my heart that people aren't appreciating me, that's when I have to start (sometimes begrudgingly) admitting that it's not about me. God loves me. Jesus suffered and died for me, that I might be with Him and enjoy His glory and excellence forever. If I am feeling underappreciated and left out by my human friends, that's when I need to start looking at why I'm not finding my joy in the Lord.

I'm not judging. Feelings are real and hard. I admire you for saying how you feel. I'm just sharing how I deal with this very real and hard issue. I've been there. Actually, I'm still challenged by this all the time. I think all of us are, to one extent or another.
